The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it can be alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services level made for intervention experiences a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
